I have learned in composing that it is very hard to write a Christmas song! But it is very fun to sit there and just mess around with the keyboard keys until you find something that sounds somewhat 'christmasy'.
My favourite technique would have to be the film part. Where we had to pick a genre and make up a little part of a song to go with the type of genre. We picked horror and thought it was so fun to make up a scary little instrumental.
I would probably do the film composition. Mainly because I thought we did OK when we had 30 mins to 1hr to make something up, but I feel like it would be really good if I were to sit there and focus for multiple lessons and makeup something really cool to go with a scene from a movie.
